This is a bit more flash than most of the guitars I like to play, but I am fortunate enough that people sometimes walk into my office unable to pay, but with stuff like this.

Dunno if I am gonna keep it or not. I don't take guitars with pricetags like this one out to the exposure of beer and drunks . . . but I sure am tempted to hang onto it.

If I have this figured out right, it is a 1986 and it is a "Custom Plus" because I believe that's a maple cap.:cool:

So what you're saying is it was 'pay up' time'

and someone laid that in your lap instead of cash?

Hmmmm....

Forgiving and forgetting looks a little cooler now

as long as all of the bases are covered of course.

Post Superbowl Sunday ....

Pay Up Pal!!

Man I would never sell this guitar if I won it as a result of yesterday's game . . . I can't say the story is quite that sweet.

I just tried it out in the garage and it doesn't have the same bite some of my other "top line" guitars have, but that's probably partly because it's got 9's on it and who knows how old they are. I like 10s.

This guitar has a more "smooth" sound, hard to describe.

Came in a chainsaw case too, like I've seen Peaveys come in from time to time. Must have been an '80s thing.
