Members milosch
One. Second one is nice, but seems a bit out of place in that tune.
Members EvanAgee
Good observation. That sounds like a good tune. Can we here the whole thing? You sure can, you can find it here (with the old solo):http://www.evanagee.com/music/songs/TheOne.mp3
Members metalheadUK
They're both great.1 has a nice build, 2 has a great climaxMix 'n match! I would also try with a more trad country Tele type twang with less gain.Good stuff.
Members orourke
First off, nice playing. The songs sound cool too. I vote for the old solo. I think it's more melodic, it's saying something. The new one is more technical, but sounds too much like a scale to me. I agree with the people who don't like the tone, it sounds kind of dated and POD-y. I think it will sound better dry and compressed like a country guitar should.
Members rscornutt
I like the new one. I think the pace fits well with the rest of the track, and the notes flow well, keeping things smooth throughout. I agree. This may not be a good suggestion as I haven't heard the entire song, but it sounds as if everything is laid back, yet moving pretty quickly. The second solo is good, no doubt, but I would start with fewer notes and quickly build to the descending run. The old solo is too busy for my taste, although still good. Again, I haven't heard the whole song, so this might not work. Good work, though. No matter which one you decide on you have a winner. That's a pretty good position to be in. Members EvanAgee
Thanks everyone, I'm considering doing a mix of the two. Which parts of the two different solos do you think are worth keeping?
