Members gaspergoo
What is a good quality, versitile pickup for my Sigma DS2 acoustic?
Members Jkater
I would suggest that you just put an under-saddle transducer and use an out board pre-amp. Less surgery on the guitar and more choices for choosing what you'll to color your sound.
Members _pete_
K&K Pure Western Mini. It's an under saddle transducer system. I have it in my 12 string and the amplified tone is the same as the unplugged tone. This pickup doesn't color the guitar's natural tone. Post your question in the acoustic forum. I'll wager that the K&K will be recommended most.
Members docjeffrey
I had good luck with the Duncan Acoustic Tube. On a guitar like your Sigma, I don't think it makes sense to install a high end system. I put a simple passive LR Baggs Classic on my old D18. It's been in there for 10 years, and it sounds fine. I use an outboard Baggs preamp with a Trace Acoustic amp, also about 10 years old. The Baggs cost me $100 including installation a decade ago. Except it's a bridgplate/soundboard transducer, not a UST...If you're looking for somehting that has more feedback resistance, an LR Baggs M1 active is the answer there.
