Members ElectricEye
No, it's NOT a JB (I have one on my other guitar). I'm removing the pups from my Soloist that I bought used, and the sticker on the back of this one says BJ on it. What the {censored} pickup is it? Members Mikeman75
Sounds kinky. But in all seriousness, I have never heard of that before.
Members smorgdonkey
Likely a JBJ...with the first 'J' torn off? At any rate it probably feels better than any other pickup aside from the custom wound 'Balls Deep'.
Members ElectricEye
I knew we couldn't avoid the innuendoes... BTW, it's a humbucker, so couldn't be a JB Jr. I pulled single coil rails, but there's no brand name on it anywhere, but same font as the HB and that one says SN or NS, depending on how you flip it over. Members p4vl
I have an 'LBJ', I think it's the only Presidential Signature Humbucker.
Members GibsonQC
The older SD JB pickups had the winder's initial at the end. They were usually labeled JB-J or JB-C, IIRC. I had a JBJ and a JBC and they were both fantastic pickups. According to a guy named Remy from the Kramer forum: The JB is for Jeff Beck model and the 2nd J stands for Juarez. One of the pickup winders from back in the 80's (and now the Custom shop manager). Not sure if that's true or not, but that is what I've heard elsewhere, as well. Members Dave L
Yeah, the letters on the back is a code for the model and the person who made it. There
Members ElectricEye
Yeah, I'll post a pic of it tonight. I'm gonna sell all 3 in the spam thread for cheap. I'm looking at the SD site, and none of the pups look like this one, except the Full Shred, but I don't think it's that one. Yet, it's the only one with adjustable pole pieces....
