Members Astral-sky
I have a Super Strat HSS . That what ever I put in the Bridge position sounds too bright & Glassy I just put an EMG Set in (SL-20) & The 85 in bridge position did not round off the tone at all !So far i have tried the Duncan JB & Dimarzio Super Distortion , Both too bright I think its the Wilkinson Tremolo & the new paint job adding brightness. So I really need a pickup that will TAME ALOT of treble But has a good amound of Bass Lower & Upper Midrange with a little Compression I was thinking the Tone Zone but not my favourite toneWould the Breed be a good choice ? Thanks for reading , looking forward to your advice
Members GarysBlues
What pots you have in their? 500K are louder and brighter, 250K will be warmer and take the bright edge off also?
Members Cold Gin
I love the ToneZone in my strat. It has lots of bass and midrange and tames that strat bridge shrillness quite nicely. Other favorites of mine are Dimarzio virtual vintage solo, air zone and Seymour Duncan Hot rails.
