Members 2pacHendrix
A lefty pickup into a righty body? What did you think I was gonna say :poke: Would it work? Would it affect the tone more than a righty pup? Experiences are always welcome! Thanks,
Members adlo76
it will work.i guess it would only affect the tone is the pole pieces were staggered.
Members BoredGuitarist7
Jimi did basically what you are suggesting - he flipped a righty to play lefty, so he was playing lefty with righty pickups.

Jimi is my idol So it should work..Would it give me a unique tone or would it just be the same as putting a righty pup in there?
Members NotDead
Last time I checked, GFS, seymour duncan, EMG, gibson, fender, lace sensors, and dimarzio pickups didn't come in "leftie" and "righty" versions.Maybe it applies for staggered polepieces, but original PAFs were scatterwound, meaning the changes in string definition and output were pretty much accidental. Members Strat87
You can just flip your "righty" pickups upside-down. I did that in a strat I had once. I thought it made a difference but it could have been in my head
