Members Mats Nermark
Hi, Due to space and placement restrictions I do not have the option to buy the Adam A7. Therefore I'm thinking of these Genelecs. Any opinions out there? Are the Adam A7 hard to place? Cheers, Mats N
Members Lee Flier
The A7's are not very big. And not hard to place at all. To me one of the cooler things about ADAM's is they have a huge sweet spot. Even if you don't have them placed exactly perfectly, they work fine. Phil O'Keefe
I honestly have not heard anything that comes even remotely close to the ADAM A7's at that price point (around $1K per pair). I've never been a big Gennie fan either. YMMV. As Lee said, the A7's are not really that large physically - considering the amount of LF extension they have, they're physically a lot smaller than you might expect. You can set them upright or on their sides... placement should not be a problem except for the absolutely most confined studio spaces. I own a pair, along with a pair of ADAM S3-A's, and it's amazing how good those little A7's hold up - even compared to the 3's. The 3's are obviously a much better speaker, but the 7's sound more like them than they really should at that price point. HIGHLY recommended! :phil:
