Members kadrocker
Any Crue fans? Hell- Any Mick fans? i'm a huge fan of Mick Mars' style! I love it! He's a big influence on my playing, especially his playing on the first two Crue albums. His tone is AWESOME! I'd love to get my hands on a JCM800 one day. Mick deserves a signature guitar, IMO. Thing is- he doesn't play the same guitar all the time, so it'd be hard to pick one for him! haha. Let's hear it for Mick Mars!

Members GreatDane
his sig guitar would be a Kramer telecaster with a floyd and single humbucker at the bridge. black on black, all chrome, or maybe a chick graphic...

Members kadrocker
According to Wikipedia, Mick used a Gibson Flying V around the Shout At The Devil period. I'd love to see a picture of him using one! A Flying V is my dream guitar!

Members guitarrocka205
hells yeah! Mick is a cool cat, man. I remember either reading or watching somewhere that when they re-united in 2005, that he didn't want any of the fans to think bad of him due to his ailing condition. Dude, he rocks. He was in Crue for Craps sake!
Members knucklechutz
He should, at the very least, have a sig BC Rich Warlock.......
Members Kap'n
Mick deserves a signature guitar, IMO. Mick had his own model guitar.
Members kadrocker
Wonder how he got that rude tone for "Looks That Kill". I swear the tone is slightly different on that song than it is on the rest of the album. When I try to get close to it, I can't get it to sound "fizzy" enough. Members Chairborne
I think he played a plane jane Strat last time Crue went out. He's no guitar ace but he's good at what he does.

Members zerkalo
He's not very good. Most of his playing is gimickry. I saw them live. Good show, nonetheless.
Members cratz2
Yeah... circa 1984-1986, I used to think of Mick, James Hetfield and Rudolph Schenker as three of the greatest rhythm guitarists in rock/metal. Very riffy and, while they don't sounds much like Iommi, I certainly thought of them as carrying on the riff/rhythm-oriented tradition as well as anyone else. Members toneforhire
always a huge crue fan...and mars is definitely under rated...gets bashed a bit but I dig his playing...I like his girls girls girls/dr feelgode tone/playing the best...a shame his health is so bad

Members humbuckerstrat
I always thought he blew C.C. Deville away as a hair metal guitarist.:poke: He's been playing strats with humbuckers and floyds lately because they're light and they can take a lot of abuse on the road. Members book_of_lies777
whether it's their bag or not, no one can deny how influential the Crue was on music & pop culture - they kinda lost their way with the dope and stuff, but then again, they all do(listen up kids!). When I was in school, "Shout At The Devil" was THE SHIT. that new song from Nikki Sixx's side group Sixx AM "Life is Beautiful" is fucking FANTASTIC. (I know Mick didn't play on it, but I'm just saying...)
