  • Supro Resoglass guitar

I'm not sure what the model is. Maybe "Tremolectric" 440? Big single coil pickups Reso-glass top and back. Its got an electronic tremolo which you can control with the little red switch under the neck pickup. It's actually a circuit with a little light bulb in side and the little switch works like a little electric whammy bar so you use your pinky to wiggle the trem. You can change the sound of the trem from soft to hard by changing the size of the light bulb.

Any idea what these sell for?

This red model looks more like a wooden body, and not a Reso-glass top and back.

Reso-O Glass guitars have two halfs, and split in the middle . . . like this :

. . . and i just do not see a seam where the two pieces of Fiber Glass meet/join.

It reall looks like a sold slad bo wood.

Which one? The one on my couch? That is 2 pieces of fiberglass. Ask my cat
He checked it out for me.

This is the Bermuda that had a wood body. It was made around 1959.Those did not have the "Electrotrem" circuit like The Res-O-Glass Bermuda's which where made around 1962.

Here is Herbert Sumlin's 1963 Supro Bermuda. It sold for $8,365 at Eric Clapton's 2004 Crossroads Auction.I think they had it listed wrong because it does not look lie a 1963 Bermuda. Looks like the earlier model.

Ahhhh, OK, i did not know it was your guitar !

In that case i believe you . . . i thought it might be a guitar that U wanted to buy, and the seller just told you it is a real Ress-O Glass jobbie to BS you.

It really does look like a solid wooden body, in your pix.

Thanks guys. It's from my local store. This guitar almost looks new and the "tremolectric" feature is really unique. I am just trying to determine it's real value. The thing is I trade my guitars so frequently. I don't want to buy it for $1200 only to find out later that it is only worth $500. It is very hard to determine its value just using Ebays completed auctions because I have not seen this same model there.
