  • Rack unit for Modulation FX

What rack FX units have you loved for modulation FX?

I have a TC M300 that is good for delay/reverb.  Also had an Alesis couple years ago.  But these units don't seem to have very good Chorus/PHaser/Flanger FX.  What would you recommend?  SPX?

talkin' couple hundred $ used like Alesis TC and Yamaha

Korg Triton Extreme, Yamaha CP33, Vermona Lancet Mono, Voce V3, M Audio Venom
    Carvin TL60t, G&L S500 tribute, Agile AL3010 > Carvin MTS Combo Korg AX3000G

    Korg A3 is cool...

    Rocktron Intelliflex is OK

    Digitech DHP 33C is awsome

    Korg SDD 2000 is decent

Korg SDD 3000 is the best delay out there

      Chorus, delay, etc...

      I've got:
      Electrix MoFX (x2)
      Ibanez HD1500
      Ibanez DM1100
      Deltalab Effectron
      Korg SDD 3000
      Deltalab Acousticomputer

There's plenty of used stuff out there in pawnshops. Don't be afraid to try it if it is a good price. All of these units have their places...

Try to find a good deal on a used Ensoniq DP/4, DP/4+ or DP/2. They have great modulation effects, and you can run more than one of them at a time. They usually go for ~$300 or a bit more, but they're very, very nice sounding (and quite flexible) units.

      Are Lexicon MPX-G2s cheap yet?

Awesome effects in a one rack space unit. I'd definitely say look there first.

EDIT: I see they've went from $1K+ to $350 BIN on the 'Bay. Do it!

Yeah, under $400 seems to be the norm for them now on the used market. They do sound pretty good... but aren't they a bit of a PITB to program?
