Members Player99 Posted July 22, 2013 Members Share Posted July 22, 2013 So this guy, Scott Henderson, (well respected instructor and famous player) suggests using the minor Dorian scale at the 7th fret for Bm. Complimenting the Bm progression you can use the exact same fingering at C# (9th fret) and F# (2nd fret) over the Bm. He says the reason for this is all the notes from the Bm Dorian come from the Amaj scale. As well as all the notes from the C# Dorian, and the F# Dorian. He wanks pretty good using just the Dorian min scale over those 3 fret positions.I am not so jazz fusiony so it I am not finding it as useful as some might, but it seems to work for him.
