Members Rudolf von Hagenwil
British rockers Fightstar will be the first band to use the odd format. A German company has combined a digital CD and vinyl record to yield a hybrid music media. The musical sandwich holds 70 minutes of digital on the CD side and three minutes of audio on the vinyl flip side. Digital Trends calls it "a a bizarre Frankenstein marriage of formats." Now, where did I put my turntable? Oh no! It needs a new belt. http://gizmodo.com/gadgets/combo/vinyldisc-hey-you-got-vinyl-on-my-cd-311987.php
Members John Sayers
Another interesting idea is a program that plays wave files from a turntable, you can play the turntable and look cool but it actually plays the wave file. Next time you see someone playing turntables he's probably playing a digital wave file.

Members chetwesley
they have just ripped this idea off from the home lathe folks. home lathers have been cutting records into anything plastic you can imagine for a long time. frisbees, food container lids, etc... i have a cdr on one side/home lathed record on the other from someone i know. it doesn't work correctly on an auto return record player, as the radius of a cd is almost as small as the label area on an lp or 7" so as sooon as you put the arm down, it returns... i got it to play on a non-auto return though and the home cut sound has it's charm.
