My little monster, now with a HALO! Many pix!

Just shy of a year ago, I decided I wanted to redo my setup after seeing a picture on the Pearl website. I decided to add a halo to my existing ICON rack setup. After months of looking for parts, and getting the money together to buy everything, it has finally become a reality! Here's some pictures to take you through the process. I'm limited to 5 pictures per post, so this will be a few posts long. I hope you enjoy and feel free to fire any questions you may have at me :)

Pictures:

1. The original, one tier setup

2. The rack stripped to the bare bars

3. The pile of clamps generated by all this (oy!)

4. The support bars that fly the halo

5. The first test hanging of the halo, before tweaking

On to the next post...

That looks amazing Whip. Sleek, clean look.

My concern is the weight on the back support that is holding all of this up. The pic that 'started it all' has an extra support on each side. I'm curious why you didn't add that.

I have the extra supports too, they're topped with black tom arms, look close and you'll see them

I can go from completely torn down and packed up, to completely set up in about 20 minutes, a little longer if I need to hook up mics

That's about what I would have figured. Racks make things easier once they are up.

I used one for my 4 piece kit, with ride, 2 crashes and a splash, and it took no time at all to set up. They also take up less room onstage with fewer points of contact that aren't spread out over more square feet.
