Members zookie
There's a necessary handshake between craftmanship and artistry. The craftmanship is the vocabulary. The artistry is the eloquence. Musically, I sound like a carpenter who has just hit his hand with a hammer.
Members BlueStrat
Since I'm poor, broke, and no one's ever heard of me, and I'm not selling a lot of product, yeah, I guess you could say I'm an artist! Actually, I just consider myself another geek with a guitar. I let other people make those distinctions.

Perhaps that would make me a 'consulting' artist then... I con them into listening, then I insult them with songs they've heard 1000 times before. Truthfully, when anyone asks me that question I identify myself as an 'entertainer'.

Members Kingnome
I always thought 'artists' ate catsup sandwiches and resented their parents for paying for their education in a field the 'artist' didn't persue anyway... They talk a lot about their craft, and exchange deep ideas, and have too much free time, and console each other on career pitfalls, and post on bulletin boards, and.... I'm no artist. I'm an uneducated hack.
