Members flat earth
Im wondering. The MS2000 has been with us now for some time, i dont see the Radias as being a replacement as it is in a higher price bracket. So will Korg conjour up a new low end VA? With Roland releasing the bargain SH-201, Korg dont really have anything to compete? an MS-3000 maybe, Korg added the DWG stuff from the old DW6000/8000 synthesizers to the MS2000, so maybe it could include some PS series / Trident modeled features? (or even Z), and I would hope it would have at least 16 note polyphony. Keep the MOD Sequencer, and add the programable Arp from the Z1. Any forecasts? Members Tony Scharf
The radias is in the same price bracket that the MS2k was in when it was new. It has been price reduced a number of times over the years to get it down that low. The Radias is obviously the replacement, at least in Korg's mind. I actually have both. For certain sounds, they sound very different (The MS2k is much less analog sounding, and much more biting and glitchy) and as selling the 2k wont make me rich, its better just to keep it.. Members pighood
This was literally what I sold my MS2000 for.
Members flat earth
Actually Mr Pighood, if you were to saw the top octave and a half off the Q and paint it black, it would sort of resemble the MS2000.

Members coyote-1
They must still be selling. Why replace something that continues to sell?? Originally posted by flat earth Im wondering. Members Dejavoodoo
I think they should do as they've done in the past: reinvent the tonewheel. You have your vintage CX3, and the new....well, CX3. Ditto BX3. Korg recycles alot. So my prediction is a new Z1 called .... wait for it .... the Z1! Members Synthmatic
It looks like the MS2000BR has been quietly discontinued: It's no longer on the Korg site. I wonder how many of these were manufactured since they came on the scene six years ago?
