Members pogo97
Visually cool and maybe pretty strong stuff. My initial question would be: "Is this demo showing anything that couldn't be done with what you already have?" Members Allerian
The wargamer and flashy lights part of me is jazzed. But yeah, worth doing? Maybe if it's next to my Reactable.
Members TechEverlasting
A while back there was a thread about where synthesis might head in the future. While I don't find the musical examples shown in this video very compelling I think this, along with the Yamaha Tenori-on is an example of a new form of musical interface that will lead composers and performers in different directions. Members Dreamtronix
The visuals are cool, but no, it's not doing anything that I can't do with my current stuff. The V-Synth's 4-track step modulator can pretty much do anything that I saw this synth doing.

The V-Synth's 4-track step modulator can pretty much do anything that I saw this synth doing. No doubt you could recreate those sounds on any number of systems. What's interesting about this approach is that you're dealing with music visually without considering white keys, black keys, octaves, sixteenth notes and other traditions of Western music. As for whether this can lead to innovative new musical directions or just lots more cliched Euro-Techno-Pop I suppose only time will tell.
