Members Mat O'D
:thu:I can't play any instruments. That's why I was posting on here to try and get feedback on what you guys make of my lyrics. Then I'll take of from there. Yeah I like the Stones and Dead Flowers is cool
Members blue2blue
Well... it's never too late to start, Mat! And, of course, these days, you don't actually have to play anything in order to create music. Between loops and arrangement generators, even non-instrumentalists can, with a good ear, create good sounding music to support their singing/songwriting. But simply posting your lyrics here is fine, too. In fact, if you're interested in collaborating with musicians/composers, you might even put that in your posts (or your signature line). Just as there are lyricists who don't play or hardly play instruments, there are many fine musicians who run into a blank wall when it comes to words... As we used to say in the singles bars, there's someone for everyone. (Well, except for me in the bars, anyhow. I was much better at meeting girls on the quad at the university. What's your major? sprang more readily to my lips than, Hey, baby, I'll bet you're a Virgo!)

What's your major? sprang more readily to my lips than, Hey, baby, I'll bet you're a Virgo!) Well am 22 at the moment 23 at the end of the year (December. So yeah it would def not be too late to start learning guitar or some instrument. I've got a pretty good voice for singing (nothing special) and I like to think I have a good ear for music but I wouldn't know where to start with the electric stuff. It's not really my style anyway. If you use to much electric sounds etc in music it then becomes to sound very "canned" and meningless. Wiyj no sou or energy put into the music. l I would like to get a "proper" (heavy metal/phsicodelioc) band togther full of proper musicans. This is how you breath life into music. That is why music today is not as good as it once was all canned and put on. It's the electric music which is used far to much in modern day music. It just trying to find the right people where I stay (no one really intrested in playing around here). Who can sing/play like they mean it with a lot of energy. I enjoy posting my lyrics on here and getting feedback (even athough sometimes not much feedback but that's fine) as I have never shown my lyrics to anyone bar close family and a few friends. My Mums friends are in a band (but stay at other side of country) so requested me to send a few of my lyrics down to them so I emailed them 3 just waiting for feedback so maybe getting somethin organised there. Also emailed someone from this site a few of my lyrics just wating for word from him and I've sent a P.M to someone else (on the lyrics to Living Right Intoi Hell) see if he gets back to me. Yeah I would be highly intrested in working with anyone who plays basically I would like to hear at least one or two of my lyrics put togther with some music so yeah I'll put that in my sig Thanks for the feedback Mat
