Windows Media Player has always scooped the mids and raised the bass and hi frequencies. Maybe the new version is more scooped out?

Members Jotown
Originally posted by silver_shake What player would u recommend? I use both the WMP and the Realplayer. They both scoop out the mids a bit, and they both sound ok to me. I am not doing critical listening when I use an mp3/wav player so the altered sound does not bother me. It's kind of like what most boom boxes do anyway.
