Daniel Lanois has been posting some great videos from his latest project, Black Dub. Trixie Whitley just oozes charisma from every pore. As a longtime Lanois fan, I'm very excited about this -- it's shaping up to be his best thing since "Wrecking Ball".

The thing I don't really care for about this stuff is the singing. Not that it is Trixie Whitley singing but simply because there is singing at all. I would like this music much more if it was all instrumental. Then I would actually go out of my way to get a copy of the record.

Lanois' Facebook page just posted that they're "almost done" mixing; they're talking about a January album release.

Is that his actual page or his fan page? Regardless, that's exciting.

I've just bought tix to their Spaceland gig on the 14th (yes, Valentine's Day).

Last night I bought tickets to their Bowery Ballroom show on Feb. 17th. I'm excited.

You're gonna love it. I went to the show at Spaceland last night (14 Feb) and really dug it. If there is someone named Rocco Deluca, get there early...he had a cool set as well.

Here are some photos I took of the Daniel Lanois + Black Dub thing last night.
