Well, I think the band is fine, but the singers stage presence is not good. He just kind of paces and looks stiff. I know that is a tough role to take on (front man) but you have to be into it and know how to act. Remember if you are going to put yourself out there and post video, then you must know whats coming (it ain't gonna be pleasant). Just do whats fun for you and don't worry about what other drummers think. It's way to subjective, some may think the singer is great, so what do I know!!!!???

I started last time so I'll try again.

Obviously I can't speak for every one so I'll try.

This place is not an encyclopedia. Just a bunch of musicians.

There's been a bout of suicide attacks lately so suspicions are high. That's all. Lot of us are frustrated comics - you do hang with musicians, right? Lot of us will not hesitate to let fingers fly - it's just text. Keep your heart behind the firewall and we'll come around. Welcome again paisteguy.

After ANALysing your post, i think you would be more likely to get responses if you posted a direct link to the file you want people to listen to, rather than making them actually type the URL and search for it themselves. People are lazy. Including me. Also... i can't speak for everyone else on this forum... but as far as i'm concerned, letting people know that its a nickleback cover wont help either. Sorry, but i can't stand them. Sorry about the {censored}ty response too :freak:

Yeah, gotta agree there. Nickleback is unacceptable.

Okay, I watched the whole video, and the most positive things I can say are that the drums look good, and overall, the sound is probably as good as many cover bands, though it can't truly be judged by this video, of course.

Here's the thing: as some have already said, Nickelback material, and especially the song in the video, is not exactly the best showcase of what ever talent the band might possess. If you only have one video to post, you'd be best to hold off until you've got something better. This song is so dynamically and creatively one-dimensional...it just does you no good to circulate it.

The already-posted comments about the front man are unfortunate, but entirely warranted. This man does not belong at the front of a band. Perhaps he has some stellar vocal ability that just doesn't show up in a Nickelback song...or something...but his stage presence needs A LOT of work. He's rocking from foot to foot like a kid in an elementary school play...and appears to have zero sense of rhythm. His size, physique, and attire do nothing positive for the band's presentation either.

Sorry, but you asked.

I agree.....the singer needs to loosen up just a bit......he somewhat appears to be 'unsure' of himself. I don't mean, unsure of his vocal abilities, just a bit unsure, of what to do, or how he might be accepted as the 'leader'......tell him to relax those legs a bit.....make the stage 'his'.....grab the audiences attention, take it, and not give it back, until he's ready to give it back!

Truly, as stated, no Nickelback song, will prove worthy of keeping an audiences attention.....do you guys play any Judas Priest...

and, ....no T-shirts tucked in on stage!:thu:

not a bad sound on yours, considering, it's the stock ludwig head?

personally, I'm not a big fan of a 'ringing' snare...i get plenty o' that, from the cell!

i have tried many snares live in the past from piccolo to various depths and i dont know if you can tell from the video probably not, but this snare is a 15 inch marching snare. the only snare i have found that cuts through the rest of the mix

Definately lose the tucked in t-shirt thing...

I liked the audio links way better than the video (didn't anyone else listen to them???)...just don't think he's got the Nickelback sound...chic's would definately like to see your lead own the song better - way too much pacing - the rest was cool!

wait dont go to the music store yet the 15" is the head size the drum is a marching snare. i actually modified a snare stand to adapt it over to my kit. not really sure the exact depth.
