Members 1001gear
Sure. Drum machine software. There's tons. I don't use any so I wouldn't recommend one per se. If you just want the time keeping try a free one.Oh, there's a freebie called Weird Metronome that does all kinds of times but I don't know about polyphony. Members DW_Man_TX
I have been searching, it is the ability to store preset clicks and toggle through them so that you can match your set list for a night. The TAMA Rhythm Watch will store 20 that is where I got the idea. I figured somebody had to build something that runs on the PC, Seems to me there would be almost limitless storage capabilities. Man I wish I knew how to write code.
Members xtranoise
Probably overkill for what you want but audacity will let you create click tracks. Maybe there would be a way to create a list for the night's set you are playing??? I have not tried this with the software, used it more for recording our practice/jam sessions. Members DW_Man_TX
I have Cubase SX but I agree, I am really surprised at how hard this is. I really just need a program that is a metronome that will store preset tempos and allow me to step through them. Obviously there is a market for it, TAMA has a an entire hardware device for just that purpose. But it is just running code, there has got to be something out there. I was thinking how convenient it would be to do it with my laptop. I would have my set list and click track all in the same device. I guess I could go through the hassle of recording then and using Itunes but that is so much work.
