Members kmart
Anybody have experience with and/or recommendations/cautions on: KAt PoleKatHart Dynamics HammerPintech Dingbator similar? I've got (2) Roland PD-7 pads which I bought used several years ago, and frankly, I think they've seen better days. I get poor tracking/triggering when playing anything other than single, well spaced notes at slow tempos... I don't have the budget to get into mesh-headed pads right now but need something in the interim that isn't a cheap plastic playing surface (i.e., Alesis entry-level pads and the like)...still am hoping to keep replacement costs below $100/pad, and the pole-pads would not only do for now, but allow for placement where I need them on my current set-up (small/tight space). Feedback is appreciated.

Members the DW
I've used the Pintech Dingbat and Nimrod. They trigger well, but the rubber used is on the hard side. Price is right, though. Or...at least it WAS right years ago. Don't know what they're going for now.

Members the DW
Looks like the price went up a bit, which is to be expected. I think I paid $35 for my Nimrod and $45 for my Dingbat, but this was like '05 or so.
Members Leftcoast123
I have three LP Spikes. Single zone (ah, the 80's) so hook up might be and issue into a dual zone TRS input but that's easily solved. eBay? I use two of mine with my TD9KX2, one as Crash 2 and the other as a China but that's my programming.
Members kmart
If I could find a local source for Spikes so I could check them in person for obvious wear, etc., I'd be on it in a heartbeat, despite how difficult they would be to mount compared to the shorter pole style pads readily available today. However, buying used got me where I am today, and I'm looking at new product only.
Members Leftcoast123
I hear you. If you were close you could borrow mine to try out. What about some of the stuff that JMan from VDrum.com has? Same dough as the above spec'd triggers?

What about some of the stuff that JMan from VDrum.com has? Same dough as the above spec'd triggers? Not familiar with his stuff, but a quick web search shows triggers for retro-fitting acoustic shells (and/or cymbals) only.I'm looking for an actual trigger pad (no acoustic). Is there more to his product offer?
Members Leftcoast123
I was remembering his electronic cowbells, so not the correct application after all.
Members the DW
This thread got me to thinking - What did I do with my Dingbat? So I rummaged around a bit and found this:
