  1. I big pair up I have seen is the Dimarzio twang king and TV Jones Classic. I might do the Area T and the Classic since I have problems with noise. I have a hot area T in another Tele and I get a lot of compliments on the sound of it. The Area T and Twang King are similar in output on Dimarzios website.
  2. What about a Classic Bridge or Classic Plus bridge in the neck. Would that be a good match volume wise to the lil'59 ?
  3. I really like this Duncan Lil'59 in this Tele but the Neck Fender Fidelitron is super weak compared to the Lil'59. Would a TV Jones Powertron be a good match? 4. Looking for a good Matching pair of pickups for a Duo Sonic HS. So A humbucker in the bridge that goes well with a single coil in the Neck. What would be the best combo? I play a lot of classic rock.
  5. I have the Liverpool set in a Bullet Tele and really like them and will probable use them for this next project, but I was wondering about the Nashville and Memphis ones. Has anyone used these and have opinions about them. Thanks
  6. I need a Tele bridge pickup that will be a match for a TV Jones Classic neck pickup in this guitar. I still want the Tele sound in the bridge.
  7. I have a strat project going on and I need pickups for it. I have always wanted to try Toneriders so that is what I am going to put in this partscaster. I just need some recommendations of which ones people really like. These will be my first real strat pickups so I don't know much about the different sounds other than what I hear on YouTube. The Guitar is an Alder body with a Maple neck. I like to play blues and blues rock, but wouldn't mind getting into some surf rock and alternative showgazing stuff. I always play with a little dirt but I think any of these Toneriders handle dirt in their o
  8. Yeah I own 19 Guitars and have switched pickups many times in all of them because I am more of a tinkerer when it comes to guitars. I hotrod cheaper guitars because half of it for me is getting in there and soldering stuff. I have tried lots of Duncan pickups but so far the only one I have stayed with are the Pearly Gates in a Epiphone Wilshire Reissue
  9. I am down to these two in my search for pickups for my Mustang - Fralin Mustang picpkups (probable the blues set ) Duncan Antiquity II The '60s "Myth"Mustang pickups. Does anybody have any experience with these? There is very little on You Tube. One guy did a series parallel wiring with the fralins and it sounded like the sound I am looking for. them I saw a video of the Duncans comparing the reissue fender mustang pickups to them and they blew them away. The distortion was very articulate not a bunch of mush. So I am on the fence.
  10. I have a Squier vintage modified Mustang that I put Hot Rails in and have never really jelled with it. I want to get back to a single coil sound. It doesn't have to be a Mustang sound. I mostly play Blues and Blues Rock. I think I want something that has a little bit of jangle in it but can still handle overdrive. It would be nice if the neck was reverse wound for hum canceling in the middle. I have been looking at Lace golds, GFS lipsticks, and GFS Greybottom non staggers. I have around a $100 to spend. Any Other suggestions
  11. I think it is between the Jensen P10Q and the Weber Blue Pup. There about $8 difference. Help me break the tie!
  12. I got a ToneKing Falcon and really dug it at first but the more I play through it the more I feel there could be better top end. The speaker (Eminence Rajin Cajun) seems real bassy to me. It has a great tweed sound and I want to stay with a speaker that is going to bring that out of it. Any Suggestions?
  13. Does the SRT Tweed sound good at lower levels? Can you get Blues, Blues Rock, and Classic Rock tones from it without rattling the windows in a 18x18 room?
  14. Here is a little more info about what I am looking for. I play mostly blues, blues rock and a little punk (old school and modern) and Hard Rock Zep, AC/DC, Aerosmith, ZZTop etc. A sound I Am really looking for an amp to do good is that edge of breakup sound. Reviews have said the Bogner does that well that and that's why I am interested in it. The other gain channels are just icing on the cake. But if the Raleigh does that and does better than the Bogner then I will probable go for that. Also I want articulation on the gain channel instead of it being muddy. I know they seem like different amp
  15. I am down to two amps in my search for my first Boutique Amp. The Bogner Atma Head and The Carr Raleigh Combo
  16. I am interested in these combos but there is not much on the interweb about them. Anybody know the big difference between the two besides one has reverb and the other does not. Anybody played any of these? Does Engl make decent stuff?
  17. Has anybody played through one of these? Opinions?
  18. Anybody have any experience with these? I have checked out the You Tube videos were they compare them but still can't decide which one sounds best. I am a fan of late 60s early 70s Marshall sound, but in the videos the JMP-1 sounds so shrill out of all of them. Which one do you think sound the best? I kinda wanna buy one just to say I own a real Marshall and I play in a bedroom situation so I like the low wattage.
