I have just acquired a Yamaha bb1300 bass from a local seller. The bass is a 4 string neck-through design and plays sounds and looks great. I would like some information on this model as to how many were made and if they were for the Japanese market only as there do not seem to be many around and were only made for one year as far as I know.

My Spector Coda was really skinny at the first fret nut on moving down to the second and third frets the depth of its neck really thickened up.
