  1. I checked all the frets with a 3 fret covering strait edge. I didn't find anything out of the ordinary. Factory spec for relief I believe is 10 thou. She buzzes lots if I take it lower than 75 thou I gave up diagnosing it myself and took it to a local custom guitar builder. He says the neck has a pretty bad " twist" in it in the opposite direction the truss rod works. The high E side of the neck ( running from body towards headstock) gets closer to the player ( when guitar is in playing position) while the low E side of the neck gets further away. A proper setup isn't possible. Now to see if they will take it back. $1500 for a wall hanger.
  2. High and low E string both contact rear of bridge like this and tailpiece is already not " decked". When I ran the serial # she was made in 2019 on a Friday
  3. Action any lower at 12 than this and she buzzes everywhere.
  4. My wife bought me a Gibson Les Paul tribute a few Christmas 's ago. Right out of the box she had a few issues. The action was really high but I thought a proper setup would rectify the situation. Wrong. They got it down a tad but it's still pretty high. Also the strings cut HARD into rear of bridge between the bridge and tailpiece because bridge needs 2 be so high to eliminate fret buzz. Are tributes plek'd or not? If this one was it's a waste of money imo. It also has the documented static thru amp if you touch the cavity covers problem. And any time I point these things out on forums when asked for my opinion on the guitar I get insulted and told I'm crazy. " it's a Gibson it HAS to be fabulous ". I own dozens of guitars including Squier and Dillion Gibson copies and quite honestly this Tribute is the worst guitar I own. Thoughts?
