  1. Greetings.... I know nothing about them, but I played a nice one at a store, made in USA, 3 bolt, & I'll let the pictures tell the rest about the axe.... around $800.....  Is it a mid level, or higher end model or what? Year? Good or great deal??
    Thanks in advance...

  2. Hiya.... For those with on-hand experience, is there a fair chance that I may regret NOT getting the Model V? The V surely goes to ultra extremes that I may not always use, but it is simply divine,, huh?!! The 8 watter is cool as hell as well, so I'm in a quandry..... The V can get the 8w sound, but w/o pedal assist, the 8w will never get that V sound!!

    Thoughts & experiences, please?

    Thnx ॐ💃🪕

  3. Hiya.... if I wanted to make a stereo rig out of the 20/20 and a stereo cabinet I have, what kind of preamp or component would I require before the power amp to make this happen.... I have not intention of going for the compatible Mesa studio pre's which cost a small fortune.....
I'm not at all familiar with the 20/20, so i have no clue as how to do this, & do it economically.
    Many thanks~

  4. Greetings.... i realize folks will have a preference for a few reasons or another, but which one is more versatile, & which one delivers the best Plexi vibe, and do they both offer equally as good cleans? It would be used for both recording and live...

The YT clips of each amp sound amazing, as well as very similar!!

    Many thanks ॐ

  5. hiya'll..... I once heard that one could either remove or greatly thin out a heavily doped speaker, w/o reconing, of course.....

How might you do this, & safely, w/o trashing the surround? Acetone or some other compound? Pour it on & let the speaker play, or maybe trying to peel it off with the aid of said compounds?
    Thnx ॐ💃🪕

  6. Hiya.... just to be clear, the Corona Dope #10-4702 dries flexible & what is typically used for the surround on paper cones, correct?  And if this isn't the correct stuff, what is?
    Thnx, Kenny ॐ💃🪕

  7. Does the -EV suffix that you also see everywhere, denote anything important and/or different?  I also see many suspiciously low priced 6p14p's out there, Kenny ॐ💃🪕

  8. Greetings.... What's a good choice for my Mesa Boogie DC-3 tube cooker? It's not necessarily a heavily used amp, so sound quality may be a tad more important than longevity.

I'm looking at either a quad of RI Tung-Sol EL84's or some of the Soviet 6P14P-EV's.

Any thoughts on these 2 choices, or any other comparably priced tubes that would sound fab....??

    Thanks in advance ॐ💃

  9. Greetings..... If my memory serves me well, my long gone 57 single pup Jr, & my 59 2 pup TV Yellow Special, had those stop tailpieces that had very little mass to them.....
My current Jared James Nichols Epi has a beastly heavy type wraparound tailpiece,  which begs the question, do the lower mass stops offer more potential sustain than the intonatable chuncks of stops? If so, I think I'd be willing to forego the ability to intonation & be happier with a more resonant lightweight stop....
    Thoughts & results?? Many thnx!!

  10. Greetings,,,,  As I revisit a pedal that I have twice owned, then for some reason dumped the FT-2,  I'm trying to recall if it truly suffered from 'tone suck', as I sorta recalled...? After having very recently dumped 2 $$ boutiquee filters, i just want a simple filter for that on the edge of Jerry Garcia quack,,, not nearly as pronounced, but just that hint of it,,, W/O the tone suck,,,,, Any of the Q-trons, Nano or otherwise?  And not a tone killer, as I play very clean & integrity is parmount.... OR give th FT2 one more whirl?? Ibanez AF-9??

    Thnx all!!

  11. Greetings again~ In particular I'm looking at an R2024 Challenger amp, and speaker differentials aside, might it sound anything along the lines of their R2523 Champion, some kickass little firecracker....?

    Many thanks~ॐ💃

  12. Thanks again, so just to put a lid on this baby, if I simply wanted to hear just how it sounds w/o the NFB, I could "interrupt" the wire from the spkr jack to the nfb R? And if I liked it, w/o any NFB, I could let it hang as is, perhaps just taping it off, & no othet precautions necessary? thnx

  13. Greetings~ I believe I get it... but let's say I just wanna clip the NFB and not have a pot or switch (which I very well might want), could I simply clip either end of the R & leave it taped off, or remove it without completing the circuit that existed previously
    (w/o that R)? ॐ thnx

  14. And that sound good too!!

Greetings.... I've got some real hot 'n nasty amps that roast power tubes; Mesa, Budda, Vox, & Morgan, and I need a great sounding & heat/voltage handling set of tubes.... I recently read about some Preffered Series 7189's that can handle 400+v, and want to know what else is out there that might also be an all-around winner....

Sound, Durability, & won't crap out from the heat. Many thanks~

  15. Greetings,,,   I'm in need of a 10" Alnico that lives, breathes, smells, sounds & breaks up like a 12" Blue.... 20-25w range,,,, sensitivity no matter..... Great break-up, but defined, like a Blue~
    many thnx, ॐ💃

  16. Hey Hoot.... Power Scaling is now very commonplace, especially in the mid to high end range, & if properly done, it's way more than simply a Master..... The London Power Scaling is simply the name of the company that supplies many amp builders with the goods!!

Budda is still around, & yes, owned by Peavey,,,, The original Tweed & other early Budda designs are stellar!!  Jeff Bober, founder, moved on to found East Amplification.....

    💃

  17. Greetings,,,, the neck has been sanded, stained, & I want to finish it for a satiny, protective finish.... I believe I did it once, adding several layer, then after the 1st few applications, I sanded, & repeated....

    is this the right stuff?

    thnx
