Let your 18 month old daughter use guitar as a painting easel. The strings hold the paper nicely. Then let the child clean it use a pan scrubber. It doesn't scratch at all.

Always store your guitar leaning against a hot radiator. When the twisted neck cracks after knocking the guitar over, straighten the neck by bending it over your knee and glue the crack using superglue, it sets in 10 seconds. Quicker and cheaper than one of those luthier guys.
