Use real fire on any maple guitar to get a true 'flame' effect. Remove the truss rod from your guitar once you get it home, it's only there to keep everything snug during the shipping process. You can turn any acoustic guitar into electric by simply stripping the wires off of any electric cord, attaching them to any 2 strings and plugging it in.

Thanks, my dad bought it brand new, I try to play it every week but lately I'm smitten with my new Taylor; as nice as the Taylor is, the J45 has amazing sustain/tone, I've known a few guys with similar j45's/50's that came with adj. bridges that changed them to solid bridges, the volume is a bit better but I've tried to keep it original.
