It's not so much ugly, as it is huge and awkward-late 60s Galanti Gran Prix. The rest of it is way cool though! Honorable mention, though personally I like it, Teico/silvertone 4 + 2:

Teles are not pretty they are beautiful! Crook has an ugly headstock. PRS are the worst.

the last pic looks good, minimal orange peel thats what you want.

its gonna be impossible to match those areas up with a rattle can especially doing primer and color...You should sand to 400, and Im talking about sand paper scratches you can see on the pic of the upper horn, these need to be gone.

if thats nitro why don't you just remove it and start over?

Also, why are you sanding between coats? This is not neccessary if you apply light coats.

Youve got some huge scratches you might want to get rid of before painting. You gotta go with the grain exactly when you sand. Those scratches will be magnified not hidden by the paint.

1 can, which is about 30 light coats. It will be so thin that an ant fart will chip it.

my walmart is blowing out thier nitro, $3 for minwax clear. I think they stopped selling and are getting rid of thier old stock.

+1 thats where they like to hide....Don't be too suprised if it is 1 though after stripping my CIJ Tele I found out it is one piece.

those light spots are poly. You need to sand them off with 200-400 paper. Have fun!

You can shoot 30 coats of nitro (from a rattle can) and it will be super thin like the width of a hair.

who doesn't? You probably mean who uses it dramatically like The Ege...I like delay + fuzz ala Jeff Beck Yardbirds and a million others. Surf bands use delay to great affect, check out The Penetrators' Rip Thrillby stuff or The Shadows echoplex (Meatzi) goodness.

I think Malcom is truly underrated. He is a huge part of thier sound, alot of times I just listen to what hes playing If I can pick it out. The dynamic between him and his brother is amazing, and then throw in Bon Scotts voice which sounds like a dirty amp itself and you've got pure GOLD. People dismiss them for being simple, but man they get every ounce of drama out of those 3 little chords its unbelievable.

To me early AC/DC are the epitome of rock....The absolutely perfect rock band.
