  1. Originally posted by CatsGoMoo Yeah, it's just a matter of having enough ROOM for all that stuff in the chassis if it's PTP at that point. From what I recall, Jeff's amp has two completely separate preamps. Here's my PTP-turret SLO-Clone, which I've built for my bandmate - not as perfect looking as Jeffs of course, but it sounds pretty good - the owner loves it - and it looks "better" than a Dumble
  2. There are lots of two channel PTP (although one should have a more relaxed definition of PTP then) available. And from my limited experience 2 channels, or 2 real channels and some add-ons, is a technological border. And the reason you won't be able to find a 3 channel PTP midi amp with add-ons PTP. And it would cost an arm and a leg . . .

  4. Originally posted by carlygtr56 Looks like a PC inside to me. People are posting the inards of single channel amps, Dooshentribe....deal with it. Just for your info: the last amp I've built was a single channel PTP Plexi. Originally posted by carlygtr56 Beck, IMO sounds nowhere near as good as when he used 50 watt Marshalls and pedals. Yeah, yesterday everything was better, even you Originally posted by carlygtr56 and, he's used a Ratt with those DSL's as well HAHAHAHAHA Do you have a gut-shot of that "Ratt" ?
  5. Four weeks ago he badly wanted to try an Einstein, but couldn't find a PTP version . . . Why, oh why . . .
  6. Originally posted by carlygtr56 You're pretty funny. We should all take note what YOU do I guess? Especially after that groundbreaking demo of your tone video. Thank you sooooooo much. I'm so proud that I recorded myself and posted myself a video of my playing with exceptional sounds. I only forgot to see the hairstylist before, sorry. Originally posted by carlygtr56 Pedals in front of any amp, PTP or otherwise has always been a viable way to play. Some of the tones that made history, were on classic albums, etc, were made this way. That was completely new to me. I grew up with midi and Diezels, you know . . . Originally posted by carlygtr56 Jeff Beck, Hendrix, Page, Iommi, yeah, they were wrong? Wow, never heard of them. Do they rate Diezels as "cumpoters" too - or do they know the difference between multichannel amps with superior technology and single channel Plexi clones? Makes me wonder why Beck prefers a DSL - is that a PTP amp?
  7. You have to add a switch for those right handers who buy a lefty axe and wire the strings upside down and flip the bridge pup for this extra-hype, Bob. Ask R. Smith about how to get a patent for it
  8. Originally posted by Bob Savage It doesn't matter anyway, I'm only concerned with that twangy, Buddy Holley tone, and no modern amp can do it. Was he a left hander?
  9. Originally posted by SteveVHT Don't you love that..... Corksniffer quote- " I get the most amazing tone, with the utmost articualtion. The subtle nuances of the NOS parts really lets the natural tone shine. And when I hit my vintage TS-808...wow......" LOL LOL LOL Steve Yo. How was that special chip inside called? "POS" or so if I remember correctly . . .
  10. Originally posted by Digital Jams I use a GT-8 in front of my HW 1959 Something like that, Scott . . .
  11. Originally posted by SteveVHT Hey Olaf...You should know...We are all experts on the interweb..... It might be time for Bob Savage to re-boot the entire interweb again... Steve Looking at many posts here: Bob, do us the favour pleeeaaazzze
  12. Originally posted by Bob Savage I don't share my knowledge. They're trade secrets that cannot be revealed, even under an NDA. Such a shame . . . just converted to PTP and now this
  13. I'm asking myself if those millions of pedals in front of PTP Plexi-Clones are PTP too
  14. I never knew that there are so many tech experts in this forum - I hope that they all will join the more sophisticated discussions and threads too.
  15. Originally posted by tdr The Diezel booth was next. It was definitely a smart move to have that isolation room, two thumps up from my side for that! I heard the 100 watt Einstein. Great amp, lots of gain, lots of volume, don
  16. Originally posted by Dr Wanker I'd be looking for a Steavens Poundcake. Not made anymore. I'd go with the Diezels of course, but I'm biased
