  1. Damn! George's son is the spitting image! Prince is a monster musician all around and doesn't get half the recognition he deserves as a guitar player. Prince was named as one of the greatest electric guitar players of all time in a recent Time Magazine. I don't know about that but he is very, very, very good. Here's a link. One of the YouTube video's showing this clip, calls it the greatest guitar solo ever. http://www.time.com/time/photogallery/0,29307,1916544_1921866,00.html Will someone please find out where that guitar ended up so we can all get some sleep tonight!
  2. I use talcum or baby powder on the back of my guitar neck. Any oil, including that on my hands, makes it sticky and dust will stick to ANY oil and eventually builds up. For example did you ever see a professional pool player put oil on his hands before playing a game......or powder? That said don't want it on your strumming/picking hand and only use a small amount and keep it off the strings and fret board.
  3. If it's just for home I would go with a Fender Super Champ XD or Traynor DynaGain DG30D 30W 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp. They are both good quality amps but I think I'd lean toward the Fender because of it's versatility.
  4. I don't know what you pay for storage where you are but here in Canada a unit that would store furniture for a small apartment would cost you about $95.00 per month. So if you're gone 5 years, that's 60 months or $5880.00. It would be cheaper and more practical for you to sell your furniture and buy used furniture when you come back. You would end up getting approximately the same quality furniture when you came back as you have now and you wouldn't pay out the $5880.00. The guitars would be different story, but if it's now only the guitars, perhaps you could take them with you.
  5. Strings that are made by hand??? I'll call on that one. Would you believe they are put in the packages by hand?
