1. thanks man.. I snagged one of those charvels. There is no Sam ash near me but i happened to be driving thru long island and stopped in a store. The employees had no idea they were on clearance.. Manager did a doubletake when checking my receipt.. Lol
2. I posted about this on page 1 but my custom SL2H came in yesterday. Some pics:
3. I love me some Jacksons.. And charvels.. (and gibsons.. and fenders.. and...lol) Here's my contributions to the army: Jacksons Custom shop SL2H w/ reverse headstock coming in soon. will look like this when done (snow white w/ silver ghost flames and matching flames on headstock): Right now its with Dan Lawrence getting paint. Here's a progress pic my dealer sent me of it being build in the jackson shop. Charvels
4. also, here's one I found on ebay a while back - a custom shop model. I almost bought it (was priced great) but decided not to. A little too similar to my current charvels. Its candy green w/ black anodized aluminum pickguard. Had some dimarzio D-Activator pickup set.
5. Its been a long time since I've seen this thread.. last time I posted in it I only had 1 charvel, now I have a second one (blue flame san dimas). Here's my charvel family pics
6. I think CC is the man. He gets a lot of hate. fuck the haters. If I could get rich and famous playing like him, I'd do it too. my band plays a few poison songs. I use a JCM800-ish patch on my axe-fx ultra. here's a clip of what it sounds like: I should point out that I'm using a guitar with 2 humbuckers, probably somewhat similar sounding to the OP's soltero. CC's tone isn't exactly rocket science IMO - the "cranked marshall" tone will get you 95% there. Good luck!
7. i think it depends on the colors and the figuring. I have 3 LPs, 2 are translucent finishes and have subtle flaming, not too over the top. Depending on camera angle the flame dissapears or is pretty significant
8. Never used one, but i have read it only works in E-standard tunings. can you guys who own one verify if this is true?
9. +1 to "matt rhoades". smooth transaction and a heck of a nice guy to boot!
10. My charvel So-Cal is my #1. I bring it to every show and it by far gets the most stage time. pic of my guitar: some pics of me playing it live:
11. good trade with u6crash. Fast payment, honest and a heck of a nice guy too. Gave me a free fridge magnet with his payment! wooot!
