I pretty much never use reverb on the final mixdown because there's already plenty of it (sometimes too much) in the mix. It hasn't helped me. I could maybe understand if this was to salvage a mix that was exceptionally dry and needed a bit of.... Erm... Glue. Not all songs require that, though, and if it needed reverb it should have been in the mix to begin with. Be careful on verb.... Even subtle amounts can sound ugly when you take another listen.
