Members Jaredistheman
I've asked about 7 strings a couple times and i finally have nailed it down to 2 and will have the money soon to pick one up! GC has a used Ibanez that is about half the price of a new damien 7 but they don't have any damien 7's there to play. So i wonder, is the schecter worth the extra money? Other than the looks cause i think the schecter looks way better. haha thanks!
Members Dewysoss
The Schecter has passive EMG pickups, while I wouldn't consider those that fantastic sounding, they're better than whats in the Ibanez for sure. I think the build quality will probably be better (The Ibanez is made in China or India or something like that and I think the Damien is Made in Korea) as well. That said, I played a 7321 at GC the other day. It actually sounded and played KILLER, felt really well built, especially compared to pretty much all of the cheaper Ibanezes I've played. Drop A running through a JVM.
