Genuine or other brands for parts?

Do you guy prefer genuine (e.g. Fender parts for Fender guitar, Gibson parts for Gibson guitar...),

other expensive brands (Wilkinson, etc.)

or other, not-so-expensive brands (parts from GFS, etc.)

for your guitar parts replacement?

 

What brands do you buy if its not a genuine?

This depends on the guitar, and the value of it. When doing repairs on a high dollar guitar, we always use original parts, for a mod, going with upscale parts is the ticket. No concrete rules here.

depends...Fender for most stuff but they don't make vintage type machine heads so Gotoh for that...On my PartOTellyO I have glendale barrels, gotoh tuners, glendale neck plate (Fender neck plates are thin and warp, Glendales are thicker=better), everything else Fender.
