Members ProjectBert
it looks wrong... so buy it ! 100$ is 50/50 for that guitar... looks like the beginning RG x series a bit...
Members cross.bones
For 100 euros, assuming its not one of those fakes, then I'd get it. Can change the hideous pickguard!
Members Coverdale
I don't wanna buy it, don't wanna get any more Floyd guitars unless they're something really special. I'm just checking out a possible deal for a kid I know.
Members IbanezDaemon
That looks like one of the Japanese made RG470's. Post the full serial number and I'll tell you what year it is mate. Also can you find out if the letters CE appear on the serial number. That signifies that it was made in Japan 1997 and after. The letter F shows that it was made in the Fuji Gen factory so it's definitely worth the money.
Members Coverdale
It has the CE. Serial is F0024360
Members IbanezDaemon
Yeah that's a year 2000 Ibanez made in the Fuji Gen factory Japan.. Def worth the money, it's a bit of a steal at that price.
Members Coverdale
Is there any way to find out the model? Thanks for your help!
Members Brian May
I doubt its a 470 cos they as far as I know didnt have a pickguard. RG505 did...which was basically a 550 with a rosewood board. Same everything else. What is the trem?
Members Brian May
What i will say is this no matter what model it is...if its a Jap Ibanez and its 100 euros then its a BARGAIN AND YOU SHOULD BUY IT!! ...assuming its not battered of course. Members IbanezDaemon
Is there any way to find out the model? Thanks for your help! I think your 505 call is a good 'un BM, well spotted. The model of the guitar will be stamped in the neck pocket but this means removing the neck which might be a bit of a hassle.
