Members Mr_GoodBomb
I'm considering making a 9-string tele (like a 12-string tele, but only double the treble strings). I'd need to get a topload and string-thru bridge and put half Gotoh 12-string saddles on it, and then mod the headstock. My REAL question is... With an Xaviere headstock (a little more size than a traditional tele headstock), can I cut it down to look like a tele headstock, but keep a little extra straight space on the right side and drill for 3 extra tuners and mod the nut? Anyone?

Members MahaloVision
Trying to visualize the string runs on the peghead. You may need a string post or two. You could also consider plugging the holes, sliding the whole thing down a bit, and get 7 strings on one side. I'd consider making a new neck. It just seems easier, plus I'd want to make the width at the nut a bit wider than standard.
Members Mr_GoodBomb
I'm not really capable of making a new neck. No real woodworking tools except a saw to cut the headstock and a drill (had to use em before to reshape and redrill the holes on my Nelsonic tele).
