(mine is totally plain with no figure or streaks whatsoever). could it be that they ran out of basswood and used nice choice alder instead? Basswood often has green mineral streaks in it... The guitar is pretty light and there's a small dent at the bottom so it has got to be basswood. Maybe the finish enhances the streaks a little more on mine?
