Members john_p_t
Does anyone know of a reliable source for working out what tuners will fit your guitar? Like a way of looking up model / serial number and establishing what's compatible? Or am I worrying about this too much? Is it more standard than I think it is? Members ugameus
I believe the biggest issue is the size of the shaft or hole through the headstock. Take of one of the tuners you want to replace and measure the hole and make sure to buy tuners that will fit. Also, 3 on a side as opposed to 6 on a side. Members john_p_t
Thanks for the reply. Sorry, don't think I put the question properly. Basically, if I'm buying parts like this over the internet - which I will be, as I'm based in the UK and since Sound Control went pop, all I've got near me is a branch of Dawsons, who are useless for stuff like this - there's no obvious way I can see of getting the right parts even if I do know measurements. Sites like Allparts and so on don't seem all that specific about details on these parts.
Members ugameus
I would email the retailer or check the manufacturers specs so you can make sure. here is a link to get you started:http://www.warmoth.com/Guitar/Necks/TunerHoles.aspx
