Members Elias Graves
Need more info. Does it crackle when you flip a switch, turn a pot, all the time? What? The most likely cause is your cord or a dirty output jack. If it's your output jack, there's a couple of ways. I generally open the guitar up to get access to the jack and go after the connection points with some steel wool. If it's a pot or switch, you can get a spray cleaner that will take care of that. Beyond that, it could be a lot of things. Time to put on your detective hat or take it to the shop. EG
Members thetrooper9
ok it might be the output jack. so i should use steel wool like from the kitchen to clean it? it also cracks when i change pickups. how would i fix that? what type of spray cleaner? Steel wool to clean jacks. EG

Members inkblot
Sounds to me like the switch is on its last legs and isn't making good contact. Replace it with a new, quality switch.
Members mike42
Might be the switch, could be bad pots (vol/tone controls). Quick and dirty way to try for a fix would be to get a can of contact/tuner cleaner and lube and spray them. You'll have to open up the guitar and spray the cleaner into the switch and the pots. There'll be a small slot where the solder lugs come out of the pots - that's the place to spray. If the switch is one of the square plastic ones, you may have to replace that - they break down pretty often.
