Members cginest
Hey guys, Im building a custom with a pretty deep carved top. Im really in need of a long shaft/long thread 3 way LP style switch. Standard lengths are 3/8 and 5/16ths, but I really need one at 9/16ths or longer. Web searching has yielded almost nothing of value. Anyone know if these exist, and if so where I could find some? Thanks!Chaz
Members Pope on a Rope
Why not just route the hole a little deeper to accommodate a normal sized shaft? It would be quicker than looking all over for a switch to fit.

Members cginest
Haha, I thought Id throw in the "/long thread" to keep it cleaner than the google search results Ive been getting The route presents a unique problem on a carved top instrument. You only have so much thickness to work with as the carve gets closer to the edge of the guitar. The rear cavity is as deep as it can get before weak spots start happening. I may have to angle the cavity to match the carve...This is why Ibanez uses that ugly black plastic switch mount on their S series guitars, and why LPs have extra long shaft pots, which are easy to come by. No such luck with switches so far.Anyone ever seen one of these? Thanks!

Members cginest
This one?http://www.allparts.com/store/electronics-switches-ep-0067-000,Product.asp That looks extended on the back, not the thread portion. I need more length in the threads so I can keep the rear cavity as shallow as possible.
