Members captainultimus Posted October 11, 2009 Members Share Posted October 11, 2009 so im putting a sd 59' into me hellraiser and i have run across a problem. when i pushed back the shielding on the lead i realized that none of the wires are bare. so my question is how am i suppose to know what wire to solder to what pot and what not. Members Norcal_GIT_r Posted October 11, 2009 Members Share Posted October 11, 2009 I'm assuming you have vintage braid wire.Push back the silver outer until you have the black inner. Push that back to find the actual wire. This lead is your hot. Now the outer braid is soldered to the top of the volume pot as the ground. Hope this helps. Members captainultimus Posted October 11, 2009 Author Members Share Posted October 11, 2009 ok i think i got this. so the six small wires underneath the braid are suppose to all be soldered to one thing as though they where one wire and that i solder the metal braid to the volume pot? just wanna make sure i get this right.
