Is the new Rat ProCo 2 going to get me that sound or have they changed it too much? A rat is a little smooth. Don't get me wrong. I love mine, but I just don't think of it as crunchy. When you crank up the gain, it gets pretty mushy. I use mine for a barely distorted tone and add the distortion+ to it for the scratchy snarl. Are new ones different? mine is from like 1985.
