that was how i remembered the date code works, but it has been a few years and i couldn't find a site for reference

B is for the factory, 3 for 1963. A for month and 2 for week. I've used it before myself. Here's a link.

Didn't look it up but the top three tell you the decade it looks like. Anyways I have a few 12AX7 Mullards stashed too. Great tubes.

I used to have an Epiphone class A amp that ran on a single 12ax and a single 5881, so I have a bunch of classic tubes that I would swap around. Swapping tube styles and makes in that thing made a HUGE difference. Might have to build something similar one of these days, I kinda miss it from time to time.
