Members kevinMA
Hi, can anyone tell me if it is ok to fit one humbucker at a time to a guitar? I have an Epiphone les paul studio and would like to fit an SH-2 to the neck but can only afford to buy one at the moment. Thanks.
Members tiltsta
Yeah, it is fine to replace one pickup at a time.

Members EADGBE
Even if the windings were the opposite of each other (which they probably won't be) they would only be out of phase if both pickups were on at the same time.

Members orourke
The only issue is that depending on what pickup you buy the rhythm might be a little louder than the lead pickup if the output of the pickups is a bad match. Chances are it will work fine.
