Which one for my Carvin DC? it's a bright sounding guitar. I need something that sounds great for modern metal (fast picking, big open chords, solos with alot of clarity with out sounding ice picky) but can sound great when turned down using the volume pot for other styles of music.

I have the APC persuader custom and as far as for what you're looking for, it'll fit the bill.

Also if you like to roll off the volume with distortion running, it cleans up real nice and gets a nice spongey sound to it like say the early Van Halen tones. But when full on it's an awesome pickup.

The persuader isn't much different from what I have, but I think you won't be disappointed if you decide on the APC.

What's the wiring like on them? fairly easy to get in?

The instructions I got weren't the best. Talked with Mel before he passed and pretty much this is what you have:

Red wire: to volume pot

Black wire: ground it

Green and White wires: wrap them together and tape off

Bare Wire: ground it.

That's for a straight install. No splits, taps, phase reverse or anything.

As far as size, they're about as big as an EMG pup.
