semi-hollow electric question

thinking about picking up a semi-hollow electric.

right now, the ibanez artcore and the hagstrom viking are my top choices.

i understand the ibanez artcore AM103BM has a slightly smaller body than the other models. i don't have much exp with hollow electrics, so i'm wondering how much this will affect the sound. i like the open sound of the semi-hollow.

will the smaller body sound as open as the others?

i have read nothing but good things about the AM103BM, but i haven't played one. i just found it online, so i can't physically compare.

hoping for a little feedback.

thanks.

You probably can"t tell a difference because of the body size. Going from a thinline tele to an Emperor you will tell the difference, but two average sized guitars won't be all that different. I wouldn't worry too much about the size and concentrate on finding one that has all of what you want. That model is a lot like a 335 so you should get all the hollow sound you want.
