Members phreddy
Has anyone used them? I was thinking of getting some for a Gilmour clone. Scott
Members cratz2
I have a set of them. I think the Premium V set has more of a Gilmour vibe. Pretty much the GFS V set sounds somewhat comparable to the CS69s. The GFS II set sounds somewhat comparable to the CS54s. The 69/V set has more of a ballsy but vintage type tone. The 54/II set sounds more like a very drippy, vintagy tone. More similar to a Knopfler tope vibe.

Low output, nasally quack, not as aggressive as most replacement single coils, but they're great for a surf sound which is what I use them for most. Here's the only example I have:The rhythm is neck/middle, the melody is middle/bridge. Recorded through a Toneport on the 'Lux model, so take it for what it's worth. http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page_songInfo.cfm?bandID=964105&songID=7719581
Members cratz2
Absolutely! The CS54s are my favorite surf set and the IIs are right there with them. Like I said, they really excel in the #2 and #4 positions.
