Members twotimingpete
the GFS offsets are strat-scale guitars (25.5) and you can put any pickup in you want. so they're as versatile as anything.
Moderators BATCAT Posted February 17, 2010 Moderators Share Posted February 17, 2010 The GFS offsets are rather different animals than an actual Fender Jazzmaster or Jaguar, in large part because they don't have the same kind of pickups. A classic-style Jazzmaster is probably going to be able to cover around the same amount of sonic territory as a Strat, although it is a fairly different-sounding guitar. A Jaguar, I think it's reasonable to say, has a more unique sound- and so while it's got a lot of personality it's also less versatile. However, Fender has a bunch of other Jag and Jazz versions than the straight-up re-issues, some more radical remakes than others. Plus there are are kind of modifications one can do themself. So really, I think the answer to your question is "as much as yyou want them to be."
