Members Longhair
My Marshall Valvestate Ministack is reaching the end of it's life so the quest for an all arounder amp is in order. I'm eyeballing the Blackstar HT-60 (2 x 12") so any opinions or alternatives would be appreciated.
Members peavey_impact
Hell yes! I have the HT-5 and it rocks....if I didn't already have other higher powered amps i'd probably pick up an ht-20 or ht-60 as well.
Members Prages
I've also got the HT-5. Good sounding highish gain amp, excellent direct out for recording. Not much clean headroom on the HT-5, but I'd imagine the 60 would rattle the windows before you run out of headroom.
Members ArpeggiateTHIS
Definitely. I've got the HT-5 and it screams, I love that thing to death. Also, even with the HT-5 I find myself barely turning the volume past 3, for me there isn't any need for a louder amp.
Members ExiledCrow
ArpeggiateTHIS said pretty much what I would say. I've got the stock 1x10 but I've tried it with some different cabs and it sounded much better ... So the only thing I'm needing/wanting for it is a different cab ... Members noisebloom
I have an HT-5 head, and it's just an insane little amp. It really is a Marshall for the bedroom.
Members idhindsight
Another big yes from me. Love my HT-5. It's wonderful for hard rock, punk, jazz, blues, really anything except super high gain metal and really wet edge-of-breakup blues. It's kind of dry. Members Prages
As far as not needing another amp, I wouldn't even think about using the HT-5 live unless you've got really good monitors. It's great for home, but it just isn't loud enough to keep up with a drummer unless your drummer barely hits the drums.

Agreed, but as I said a 5-watter is fine for me until I get my lazy ass in a band (well, one in which I guitar instead of drum). When that day comes I'll sell my kidneys for an Artisan model.
